Commissioned by Le Monde A collaborative documentary photo essay produced alongside a lead journalist for Le Monde. This project involved an on-the-ground assignment to Lake Nyos, Cameroon, capturing the enduring aftermath, quiet healing, and profound human resilience of the communities affected by the historic 1986 disaster. The resulting visual narrative weaves intimate portraits with stark landscapes to explore memory, survival, and rebirth.
